The second strain of covid has been found in Amravati and some parts of Maharashtra due to which a week-long lockdown has been declared in Amravati.
During this time we have to stay indoors and follow 'social distancing'. But staying indoors again can be a task for some.
So, here are some ways you can follow to be productive during the lockdown,
- FORM A ROUTINE FOR YOUR NEW ACTIVITIES
Most importantly… be sure to write down a routine (with timescales) of the activities which you will be doing and trying for the first time on a weekly basis. Stick to your routine and form the habits to keep your working and keep you productive during this lockdown.
- Eat Healthy
The foods you eat have big effects on your health and quality of life. Although eating healthy can be fairly simple, the rise in popular “diets” and dieting trends has caused confusion. In fact, these trends often distract from the basic nutrition principles that are most important.
Why Should You Eat Healthy?
- Research continues to link serious diseases to a poor diet.
- For example, eating healthy can drastically reduce your chances of developing heart disease and cancer, the world’s leading killers.
- A good diet can improve all aspects of life, from brain function to physical performance. In fact, food affects all your cells and organs.
- If you participate in exercise or sports, there is no doubt that a healthy diet will help you perform better.
- Stay healthy
In this situation of a pandemic, staying healthy is very important. Doing any kind of exercise, may it be cycling, yoga, running and even dancing is very important. Helping in house chores is also important as it shares the load and can be a good form of exercise too.
I swear your fridge would have said; “what the hell do you want now?”. We all know that in this situation of self-isolation, food cravings automatically increase and crave for junk. Although, online ordering is available, prefer having meals prepared at home. Learn to cook at home not only because of this pandemic situation but also, in general.
- Learn to cook healthy
It is a lifesaving skill guys. The most significant hurdle any student faces when migrating is meeting their dietary needs because the majority of us don't know how to cook. Taking this time to learn how to cook will save you some future expenditure, keep you healthy and even make you less homesick and can be a lifesaver in times like today if you are stuck without help. You do not have to learn to cook gourmet food, but you can get started on your favourite dishes.
- Learn new skills
“I’ve always wanted to try new things because it’s exciting and it keeps you active and alive.”
– Robert Redford
Learning something new is very important in life as it makes a person unique and it can even help to discover oneself. A new skill can be anything, may it be learning a new language, learning guitar, dance, painting, cooking and even developing any soft skill like communication, teamwork and more. You can also share your ideas and creativity on social media like Facebook or Instagram and even participate in online webinars that perform group discussions.
Plan your day with these above simple tips and follow regularly. And of course, follow social distancing, regularly washing hands, wearing a mask.
